Casale is a world-leading Swiss company in the production of chemicals and in the development of plants for the chemical industry. It was founded in Lugano in 1921 by Luigi Casale, an Italian chemist who owes his international fame to the creation of a process of synthesis of ammonia. Casale is today a leader in the chemical sector for the supply of industrial services related to ammonia, nitrate and phosphate, urea, melamine, methanol, syngas and other derived products.

Casale has chosen to continue on the path of technological innovation, activating an important process of updating the entire ERP platform, migrating the current systems to SAP S/4HANA technology.
At the basis of this important project there is the need, by Casale, to innovate technologically and functionally the operating infrastructure, consolidate on the new platform of SAP core business processes, to have a system that quickly adapts to the new organizational structure and the challenges that the market requires.
The project, carried out by Interlem, was to convert an SAP ECC 6.0 EHP5 installation into an SAP S/4HANA Rel. 1709 installation.
